Fashion: A Family Affair
I'm sure this is not a revelation, but fashion doesn't require spending lots of money. We had a recent video shoot as a family and I had to change my concept last minute. I hit the mall in a mad dash 2 hours before we were scheduled to shoot. My strategy is always the same when I shop and it always yields a great return. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you.
Upon entering a store ALWAYS hit the clearance sections! I don't care what season it is, these sections of the store abound with deals and steals! Mom Tip: Shop especially in the clearance departments between sessions. I perfected this when my children were babies, when it was easier to map their growth spurts. Here are the details for each of the outfits, minus hubby's because he is anti-fashion and chose to wear a plain denim on denim look. *Eye Roll*
So I found a three piece outfit which included the sweater, collard shirt, and corduroy pants for $20! I actually opted to have him wear jeans instead of the corduroy pants because I actually did not like the look of corduroy. However, they are navy and he can wear them to school with his uniform.
I found the fur vest first and it was only $7. I knew she would love it so I played it simple and found the chambray shirt, fuchsia pants, and fur trimmed boots for a total of $25. This kid is a total natural.
