Living My Purpose

I couldn't resist purchasing this t-shirt!!! It simply speaks to the journey I have been on for a few years now.

I struggled after having children and becoming a stay at home mom. I didn't know what my purpose was. It seems strange to some, but I knew being a mother was a part of my purpose, but not the fullness of my it. I pressed through painful surgeries and medical problems knowing there was more for me to do. However, anxiety and depression made it difficult to see how I would ever accomplish anything.

It was 3 years ago when God spoke and said it was time for me to move forward in pursuit of my purpose. I read the following:

The Lord said to Samuel, “How long will you mourn ...Fill your horn with oil and be on your way; I am sending you...”

1 Samuel 16:1 (NIV)

I realized that being a mother was the best gift I could ever have, but I was not being the "best mom" I could be. I started to expand my social circle. I became involved in church and began to sing again. Everyday I saw more and more of "Me" return. I no longer felt overwhelmed. I began to fill JOY!

This journey has proven to be one of true self discovery. At the age of 33 I can honestly say...I am LIVING MY PURPOSE!
