Vintage Chic
I truly believe that it doesn't take a lot of money to look good. As a busy mom of 2 I love being able to find deals for myself and my family. Even when I shop in retail stores, I always start my shopping in the clearance areas.
Each outfit begins with an inspiration item. In this case everything revolved around this vintage 1980's leather skirt I found during a recent trip to Goodwill. Usually I don't have much luck when it comes to fit of vintage items. I don't know how women were shaped 30+ years ago, but I am clearly not the same body type. Most vintage leather skirts I have found are too small in the waist. Seriously way too small. I want to see a woman with 45" hips and a 20" waist!!!

SHERRICA'S THRIFT TIP:
When thrifting always wear form fitting clothes, like leggings. This allows you to "try on" clothes without having them touch your skin. As you can see in the photo above, I was able to "try on" the leather skirt without having to use a dressing room. It makes shopping painless!
